2. Nephrotic
syndrome is one of many kidney diseases. It has
very high levels of protein in the urine, a condition
called proteinuria, low levels of protein in the
blood, swelling, especially around the eyes, feet,
and hands and high cholesterol. It it caused by
damage to the kidneys' glomeruli that are tiny
blood vessels that filter wastes and excess water
from the blood and send them to the bladder as
urine. It causes protein in the blood to leak
into the urine. This results in a deficiency of
or loss of protein which is needed to regulate
fluid throughout the body causing fluid to accumulate
in the body’s tissues rather than circulating.
The fluid causes swelling and puffiness. Nephrotic
syndrome can occur with many diseases. In adults,
the most common causes are diabetic nephropathy
and membranous nephropathy. In older adults, the
most common cause is amyloidosis. Prevention of
nephrotic syndrome relies on controlling these
diseases. Frequently, however, the cause of nephrotic
syndrome is unknown. http://www.calwoodnutritionals.com/kidneydisease/

Nephrotic disease; Polyporus Umbellatus, Rhizoma
Imperatae, Poria, Fructus-Corni, Fructus-Forsythiae,
Herba Leonuri, Flos Lonicerae, Gypsum Fibrosum
and Cortex Mori Radicis. This site claims out
of 21 subjects using all of these herbs 8 recovered
and 12 improved. http://www.hnmrc.net/pd1958536762.html?categoryId=34

is a site selling a product they claim will aid
in healing Nephrotic disease. I put it here for
your information, I do not endorse or discourage
its use. It contains Poria,

Cyperus, and Dioscorea and sells for $60 dollars
a bottle. http://www.kidney-restore.com/ailments/nephrotic-syndrome.html
